Alamo City designated a top relocation market

San Antonio has been named one of the best places to live in 2010 by RelocateAmerica.com.

Brighton, Mich.-based RelocateAmerica.com on Tuesday released its annual list of “America’s Top 100 Places to Live for 2010.” San Antonio ranked fifth in America on the overall list.

The Alamo City also ranked the fifth best recovery city and the eighth best retirement city in the country.

RelocateAmerica.com is an advertising-supported Web site with articles and information to help prospective homebuyers find a new place to live. RelocateAmerica.com’s editorial team reviewed thousands of nominations to produce its top list of 100 of the best communities to live. The company also interviewed local leaders, gathered feedback from residents and analyzed economic, environmental, education, crime, employment and housing data for the past year.

“Given the tough economic times our nation is facing, homebuyers have re-evaluated their priorities and are looking to relocate to communities that offer plenty of perks, but minimal hassle and cost,” says Peter Meyers, vice president of research and content development at RelocateAmerica.com. “While some cities are facing a road to recovery that could take years, others are poised for a quick rebound — and already have seen growth. We wanted to highlight those cities that are on the road back to economic health.”

RelocateAmerica.com is owned and operated by trueV New Media, a media and marketing firm that provides clients with technical, design, public relations and business strategy services.
