The number of hotel room-nights sold in the San Antonio metropolitan area increased 6.4 percent in the third quarter over the same quarter last year, while rates gained 0.9 percent, causing revenues to rise by 7.2 percent to $266 million, according to a report released Monday. As net room supply increased by 2.7 percent, with 1,200 net additional rooms, average occupancy edged 2.2 percentage points higher, to 64.1 percent, according to the quarterly Source Strategies, Inc.
