San Antonio’s Wonderland of the Americas mall, 4522 Fredericksburg, is providing more of its real estate to help support the Alamo City’s largest industry — health care and biosciences.
Career Point College, which has about 57,200 square feet of space at Wonderland, is expanding its presence at the Northwest Side mall. At a time when malls across the country are having to be more creative to fill their spaces, Career Point is acquiring more than 37,000 additional square feet to house expanded medical training facilities.
Currently, Career Point houses a vocational nursing school and support offices in about 51,000 square feet at its Wonderland campus. It houses a cosmetology school in the remaining space.
The extra 37,343 square feet will be used to house Career Point’s new registered nursing program at Wonderland. The first RN classes in the new space will begin this year.
Oscar Montemayor, director of leasing for Wonderland of the Americas, said the mall’s partnership with Career Point “continues to strengthen as the college grows.”
