A four-story, $40 million mixed-use development in the heart of Alamo Heights received unanimous approval from the Alamo Heights City Council earlier this week.
The project by Argyle Residential will feature a 150-unit apartment complex and 5,100 square feet of retail space. The development is planned for a 1.41-acre triangular lot at 5514 Broadway Street.
As part of the development, Ausway Lane, which runs between Broadway and Austin Highway, will be permanently closed. The 48,219 square foot complex will also include 259 off-street parking spaces. The project’s construction is said to last 22 months with no word yet as to when it will break ground.
