H-E-B to start construction in Alamo Ranch area

HEB anchor tenant to large acquisition of retail center.

HEB coming to Alamo Ranch.

HEB has filed plans to start construction on a new $17.05 million location in the Alamo Ranch area in March 2017, less than three miles away from an existing store at 10660 West FM 471.

A H-E-B fuel station and car wash to accompany the future location, adding more than $1 million to the estimated construction costs, according to documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration.

Come March that hole will be filled in with the help from Pb2 Architecture + Engineering. The filings state that the estimated construction period will last about eight months, wrapping up work for both the grocery store and fueling station by November 2017.

The future Alamo Ranch H-E-B store will be surrounded by existing retail and multifamily development that has been spreading like wildfire over the past few years. Further, the site hugs up against a vacant 25.6-acre site that is zoned for multifamily.
