The current economic cycle has sublease space on the rise. As of the end of June, over 788,000 square feet of office sublease opportunities were being marketed led by more than 312,000 square feet left dark by AT&T in the IBC Centre I & II buildings downtown. By comparison, the office market offered less than 300,000 square feet of sublease space last year at this time.
Sublease space in the industrial market now totals over 700,000 square feet and more than 187,000 square feet of retail sublease space is currently being marketed.
