San Antonio listed among 2009 Best-Performing Cities

bpc2009The 2009 Best-Performing Cities Index recently released by Milken Institute/Greenstreet Real Estate Partners was dominated by Texas cities, based on the ability to create and sustain jobs.  Top performers avoided the worst of the economic declines.  On the list of the nation’s 200 largest metros, San Antonio ranked number 11 – up from 15 in 2008. 

Other top Texas performers included Austin-Round Rock (#1), Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood (#2), McAllen-Edinburg-Mission (#4), Houston-Sugarland-Baytown (#5), Fort Worth-Arlington (#12), Dallas-Plano-Irving (#13), El Paso (#14) and Corpus Christi (#16).
