SA Lighthouse for Blind to expand Southside facility

San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind plans to expand its existing 60,000 square-foot headquarters building located on the city’s South Side at 2305 Roosevelt Ave. by constructing a new two-story, 60,000 square-foot facility on three acres across the street at 301 Eads Ave.  The new $6.5 million project will give the Lighthouse more room for the manufacturing of a variety of products used for its contracts, such as military apparel items.  Completion is scheduled for late 2012.
