Chief Executive magazine recently released their list of “Best and Worst States for Business” which revealed Texas remains the best state do business for the 7th consecutive year. The ranking is based on the survey of 550 CEOs asked to consider a variety of criteria ranging from taxation and regulation to workforce quality and living environment.
Commenting on the ranking, Governor Rick Perry said, “Texas’ top ranking as the best state for business…is a testament to our successful model for job creation and economic prosperity. I am proud of our state’s accomplishments and remain committed to upholding principles like low taxes, restrained spending, reasonable regulations and a fair legal system, which have made Texas the best state in the nation to live, work, raise a family and start a business.” Read Gov.
