Build-to-suit facilities growing San Antonio office market

NuStar Energy HQ

Although the pipeline of speculative construction remains pretty dry, the greater San Antonio office market is still growing thanks to three significant build-to-suit projects.

Moving steadily towards completion is NuStar Energy’s new $100 million, 300,000-square-foot hilltop headquarters located outside Loop 1604 at 19003 I-10 W near Old Camp Bullis Road. 

Situated on 32 acres just north of The Rim, the facility is expected to reach completion in the third quarter of this year and will accommodate 900 employees.  Upon completion, NuStar will move approximately 450 employees out of currently leased space leaving behind roughly 121,780 sf of Class A office space in two buildings at Heritage Oaks at Inwood located at 2338 N. Loop 1604 W.

KCI HQ

Located inside Loop 1604 and nestled among the trees, the new three-story, 100,000-square-foot headquarters facility for KCI is nearing completion at 12930 I-10 W.  Upon completion, expected later this summer, KCI will relocate employees from its current location along I-10 at KCI Tower located at 8023 Vantage

 

Nationwide Insurance Operations Center

Finally, the Nationwide Insurance operations center is taking shape along Hwy 151 in Westover Hills at 9300 Nationwide Dr.  Upon completion of the 300,000 square-foot facility in late 2012, Nationwide will consolidate employees out of multiple office locations including 4300 Centerview, Farinon Office Building, and Parkway Center.
