Equity Inc., Equity Velocity Fund I LLC and 2GR Equity LLC formed a joint venture to buy Huebner Medical Center I & II. The asset spans 166,167 square feet at 9150 Huebner Road in the South Texas Medical Center.
The Huebner Medical Center deal marks the first investment in the Alamo City for Equity Velocity Fund — a private-equity fund formed to invest in health care and retail real estate in secondary and tertiary markets.
2GR Equity is a real estate investment firm that provides joint-venture equity for commercial real estate assets in Texas.
The Huebner Medical transaction also marks Equity’s entrance into the local commercial real estate sector.
Among the tenants in the Huebner Medical Center is Methodist Ambulatory Surgical Hospital, known as MASH. Consisting of nine operating rooms and 28 beds, MASH occupies 48,000 square feet in the complex.
