The San Antonio Medical Foundation’s board of directors has approved a tentative deal to sell seven acres of land it controls in the South Texas Medical Center to Fulcrum Development.
“We’ve come to terms,” said San Antonio Medical Foundation President Jim Reed.
Those terms were not disclosed. But Reed said the board vote will trigger a number of maneuvers regarding the real estate, including a feasibility study to determine if Fulcrum’s preliminary redevelopment plans will work on the Northwest Side, bordered by Wurzbach, Fredericksburg, Hamilton Wolfe and Tom Slick roads.
Some of the projects Fulcrum is considering for the site include a multi-story office building and parking structure, as well as new restaurant and retail development to complement the thousands of workers employed in the Medical Center.
