Clarity Child Guidance Center’s aggressive expansion will improve the delivery of mental health care for youths in the region. It will also free up prime real estate that could help fund the nonprofit’s continued growth.
Clarity is seeking to sell an 18,203-square-foot building at 2135 Babcock Road that currently houses outpatient health services. The nonprofit won’t need the 2.3 acres once the $22 million expansion of its main campus on Tom Slick Street is completed this spring.
There is a limited amount of Medical Center land up for grabs. The San Antonio Medical Foundation controls a large amount of real estate in the area. It only leases that land and has restrictions on what can be built on the acreage.
