Christus Santa Rosa Health Care Corp. is slated to give Far North San Antonio’s medical office market a major boost with its plans to build itself a new office building.

Set to go up on the 3.83-acre tract it purchased from CIRI Land Development Co., Christus is finalizing a deal to build a three-story, 62,312-square-foot medical office building in the southwest quadrant of the East Sonterra Boulevard and Highway 281 intersection.

The proposed building at 1434 E. Sonterra Blvd. will cost an estimated $9 million, and construction will start in August, according to details submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration.

Fagan represented CLDC in the deal with CHRISTUS, as well as two additional parcels to Brundage Management Co. Inc. and an undisclosed developer. The three transactions encompassed 9.84 acres along the north and southwestern corners of East Sonterra Boulevard at Highway 281.
