CPS Energy, San Antonio’s municipal electric utility, is marketing its 7-acres at 326 West Jones Ave. which includes a partially deconstructed office and light industrial facility.

The property sits on the other side of IH-35 from The Pearl and neighbors the San Antonio Museum of Art and the River Walk. One acre has reportedly been conveyed to the museum, but the remaining six acres are being marketed for sale.

Missouri Firm Plans Massive Warehouse in NW San Antonio

The longtime owner of an abandoned quarry in Northwest San Antonio is moving forward with plans to build a massive warehouse at 14700 Tradesman Drive.

The proposed distribution center project is expected to span between 500,000 and 780,000 square feet on a 92.5-acre site.  The site was originally part of a 160-acre rezoning in 2008, with the northern half of that property now already developed with commercial properties. …Read Entire Post

Carvana Planning Two Industrial Facilities on the South Side

Car-buying platform Carvana appears to be planning a couple of local projects on the South Side at 11245 Old Corpus Christi Road.

Carvana bought the nearly 60-acre property earlier this year from seller CXA Corp., an entity tied to the same address as Plano-based investment firm CSG Investments Inc., an affiliate of Beal Financial Corp., also based in Plano.

The sales price was undisclosed, but the property holds an assessed value of $12.9 million, according to the Bexar County Appraisal District.

Plans include an estimated $3.76 million renovation of an existing building for a 94,000-square-foot inspection facility, as well as an estimated $9.34 million for a 61,117-square-foot paint and detail building. …Read Entire Post

Baptist Health System Acquires 23-acre site in Boerne for New Hospital Campus

Baptist Health System recently purchased a 23-acre site near Interstate 10 and Highway 46 in Boerne where it plans to develop a new campus that will include an acute-care hospital and medical office building.

OKIN BPS opening headquarters in San Antonio

Prague-based business and services provider OKIN BPS has selected San Antonio for its U.S. headquarters. The expansion will create around 1,500 jobs and nearly $23 million in capital investment. OKIN BPS has received an incentive from the Texas Enterprise Fund grant for $6.6 million.

Power Center opening in Far West Side

80-acre development will feature 550,000 square feet of retail, including a long strip center and 14 pad sites

The Shops at Dove Creek is opening in a few months as the next power center on San Antonio’s Far West Side. This area has seen continued demand for big-box retail.

 

Portions of the land have been sold to users like KB Homes, Casey Development, and Flix Brewhouse LLC. Plans include a 170-unit subdivision behind the retail part of the development and an apartment complex.
