Precursor $12.3M expansion to Northeast Methodist Hospital

Methodist Healthcare’s expansion project is part of a master plan to address rising demand. Last year, the Live Oak hospital treated more than 56,000 patients in its emergency department alone. Nearly 10,000 of those cases were pediatric patients. That’s more than half the volume of pediatric patients that all of Methodist’s other facilities combined — excluding its children’s hospital — treated in 2017.

Methodist Healthcare purchases Forest Park Medical Center

Forest Park, a former boutique hospital at the crossing of Interstate 10 and Loop 1604, closed its doors in October 2015 and has sat vacant after going through foreclosure.

REOC Development recently celebrated the groundbreaking of the Singing Hills Professional Building – a 60,000 square-foot, three-story office building located at US 281 & Harmony Hills.  Designed by Luna Middleman Architects and constructed by Middleman Construction Company, site work is well under way with delivery scheduled for next fall.

The building will be anchored by an Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) on the first floor and the goal is to secure an imaging center for the remainder of the first floor space.

Medical building portfolio sells to out of town partnership

A partnership between Artemis Real Estate Partners, Ackerman & Co. and MLL Capital purchased a four-building medical office portfolio totaling 423,411 square feet, according to a press release.

Two of the downtown San Antonio buildings, the Santa Rosa Professional Pavilion — which is 128,578 square feet — and the 123,324 square foot Rosa Verde Tower, are on the CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital of San Antonio campus. Velocis, a Dallas-based private equity real estate manager, has purchased a 224,262 square foot medical office complex adjacent to the South Texas Medical Center.
